Good to hear Jeff. We need to get our heads around the fact that broadcasting is dead. One on one is the best way of relating to people.

Like it. In 2006 it became obvious to me that "filling conference rooms" to hear a talking head was not working. For a lot of reasons. I have been on the personal "one on one" approach since.

Hmmm, bit of a late response, but I guess everything depends on the way in which they have configured the way to pull in locations. That makes it depend on whether your hometown is actually in Facebook as a registered city and wheather your friends' locations are there as well. As a matter of fact, I live in Goes, NL, a city with 36,000 inhabitants. It shows everywhere but on Facebook which prefers "Sas van Goes" which is a group of 4 houses about 5 miles from here. So, that might be the case with you as well. But again, I am just guessing.

I'm from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I've lived for 25 years and been a very social creature -- but the Getmap.me application doesn't report a single friend. It made me feel very suspicious of it, but perhaps it is just a glitch they haven't worked out yet. :S It also did not report my Australian friends, while making sure to report my NZ pals.
